🧠What is Rovo Dev Agents?

Rovo Dev Agents is a set of intelligent agents that automate tasks throughout the development lifecycle, from planning to deployment.

Their mission: reduce repetitive tasks and allow more space for innovation. Did you know that, on average, a developer only spends 16% of their time coding? The rest goes on planning, documentation, reviews, etc. With Rovo, Atlassian wants to change this.

What can these agents do?

Rovo Dev includes agents for each phase of development:

📋 Planning (Code Planner)

Generate detailed technical plans from tickets in Jira, documentation in Confluence, and code context. This way, developers can start programming without wasting hours figuring out where to begin.

💻 Development (Coding Agents)

Automate repetitive tasks such as removing obsolete feature flags, generating documentation, or even migrating code configurations.

🔍 Review (Code Reviewer)

Evaluate pull requests with intelligent comments, ensuring quality and compliance with acceptance criteria and good coding practices.

Deployment (Pipeline Troubleshooter & Deployment Summarizer)

Detects errors in pipelines, offers clear solutions and generates deployment summaries to keep the whole team informed.

✨ What makes it special?

All of this works on the Teamwork Graph from Atlassian, a kind of 'digital brain' that connects information between Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket and more. With this foundation, agents can understand what is happening in the project and act with judgement, not only following pre-defined rules.

In addition, you can:

      • Create your own custom agents for specific tasks.

      • Execute batch actions from the backlog.

      • Integrate them with automations (for example, if a ticket has the label "unit test", the agent can automatically generate tests).

    💬 Our vision from Quabu

Rovo Dev Agents not only bring efficiency: they point to a new way of working, where AI becomes a true co-pilot for the developer. We are excited for three reasons:

          1. Reduce the time to action.Less context to search for, more time to think about solutions.
          2. Improve quality from the first commit..
          3. Free creative energy for what really matters.to design, innovate and solve complex problems.

Yes, we are in beta, but initiatives like this show where Atlassian is heading: a more connected, intelligent platform that aligns with the true value of agile development.
